Video FAQ

Q: Why does my video playback become slow or jittery?

This happens in extreme cases of bandwidth fluctuation or processor load. If your Internet connection speed is below the minimum required for a certain video for too long, you may experience times of slow or jittery playback. You can also review Windows Task Manager to see if another process on your computer is causing a high load on your CPU.

Q: Why doesn’t Windows Media video play in Firefox or some of the controls don't work as expected?

You may need to install the latest Windows Media plug-in for Firefox. http://port25.technet.com/pages/windows-media-player-firefox-plugin-download.aspx.

Q: What am I downloading and installing?

The GridCast Connector is media software, which provides full-screen HD quality video streaming to viewers. It does this by orchestrating the delivery of content from multiple sources and then compiling them together in the right order so you can view them. The connector also supports delivery of content from other viewers who may have watched the same thing or have the same content as you are watching. Rest assured, the connector shouldn’t slow down your machine’s performance and the software is 100% spyware, adware, malware and virus free.

Q: Why am I seeing pixilated video?

The video was prepared in lower quality in order to support slower broadband connections.

Q: How do I Uninstall the GridCast Connector?

Simply use Add/Remove programs from within Windows to remove the software (Programs and Features in Vista)
1. Choose Control Panel from the Start menu
2. Choose Add or Remove Programs (or Programs and Features in Vista)
