In High School I followed my talent and joined the Broadcasting team, where I was the Technical Director. I joined the Theatre Troupe as well as the Speech and Debate team. I had won a couple of Awards for Broadcasting; Writing and Directing Short Films.
During and After High School I was also the Light and Sound Technician for Several plays for the El Paso Play House. After which I Continued my Education at Full Sail University in Orlando Fl. Where I was Profoundly enjoyed learning and experiencing new skills in Writing, Art Direction, and being Director with a great team and great Partner; Patricia Sierra, in our final Project “One Last Tango”.
Now I reside Back at Home in El Paso TX, Preparing and working on Music Videos and Films around the great state of Texas, and still doing what I love; Writing.
Director’s Statement
For our Final Project I wanted to do something that was difficult and was going to be a challenge for everyone involved. So I pitched the idea of One Last Tango. Being that it was a film with No Dialogue, and mainly dancing, I thought it was a wonder idea for a challenge for our class. As the process went on I picked a great and loving crew especially my Partner in Directing, the Other Director and a strong leader; Patricia Sierra. I also have to mention Raphael Gonzalez our Director of Photography. He was with me since the beginning and loved the idea of making a colorful film, especially one that was focused on the lighting and color of the film. It was also a challenge for our Sets, Locations and Wardrobe, and what we needed to make that final touch in our Film was our Production Designer and Art Director: Paige DeMarco and Michael Carey. It was Definitely a challenge to make this film due to scheduling and Choreography it would have been a mess without our 1st and 2nd Assistant Directors: Oscar Andrade and Edward Chan; who introduced us to three wonderful Dancers. Marissa Knight (Carmen) and Alberto and Selena Hoyos (Diego and Flor), who also provided a great and fun Choreography, which I had a lot of fun directing and watching. But with all this I needed a strong Manager to get us through any rough edges and Alexandra Gonzalez our Unit Production Manager was exactly what we needed to move forward. But through all our hard work and I believe the main reason what made this film so special in my heart was due to fact of our great and loving Cast and Crew. I didn’t make this film, We all did, which is why I felt was important for us to do as our Final Project, and I hope you enjoy it as much as I and I know our crew had fun making it.
